Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel in Medan. Settle in and take time to rest after your journey, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Bukit Lawang - Ecolodge Bukit Lawang
After breakfast, enjoy a morning city tour of Medan, visiting Maimun Palace, the Grand Mosque, and Vihara Gunung Timur. In the afternoon, continue with a scenic drive to Bukit Lawang, on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and relax.

After breakfast, begin a 3–4 hour jungle trek in Gunung Leuser National Park, exploring its rich rainforest and searching for wildlife such as orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and hornbills. Your adventure ends at the river, where you’ll enjoy a fun 20-minute tubing ride back to your hotel.

After breakfast, travel to the hill town of Berastagi in the Karo Highlands, set between Mount Sibayak and Mount Sinabung. Visit the local fruit market and Lumbini Park, home to a Buddhist temple inspired by Myanmar’s Shwedagon Pagoda. The rest of the day is free to relax at your hotel.

After breakfast, your driver will take you south of Yogyakarta toward Kulon Progo. The drive to the village of Sentolo takes about 1-1.5 hours. Choose your traditional bike and cycle through the surrounding villages and rice fields. In Sentolo you will learn about tempeh production (fermented soybeans), traditional weaving and everyday life in a Javanese village. Finally, enjoy a traditional Indonesian lunch.
